Gabby is a friendly, talkative female senior pitbull. She loves to cuddle up with walter at night, even if he sits on her head. our vet estimates that gabby is likely 10 or 11 years old. Unfortunately, we’re unsure how much time gabby has left. She most likely has degenerative myelopathy which affects her ability to walk, and she has multiple masses on her body that we hope to have examined soon. She’s a sweet old girl, but she can be a bit talkative at times. Gabby is looking for a comfortable place to live out the rest of her days. We believe that she would be best suited with walter, if possible; the two are very close. However, we do also believe that the dogs could be happy regardless of whether they were to be indoor or outdoor dogs; as long as they have a warm place with a roof over their head, they will be just as happy in a barn as in a mansion. gabby is taking 300mg of gabapentin twice a day. She takes her meds easily in a treat. Oh, what to say about walter; most of the time, he does all the talking for himself. walter is a senior male pitbull who loves attention. He loves to rip up toys and tug on rope. He has quite a bit more energy than gabby at times; we believe this due to the fact that walter is likely younger than gabby at around 8 or 9 years old. Like gabby, walter also has a couple masses on his body which need to be removed. We hope that walter still has a lot of life in him to be enjoyed with gabby. We hope that we may be able to find him a home with gabby, as the two of them are best friends. as stated previously, we believe that walter would be happy as an indoor or outdoor dog, as long as he is sheltered and cared for. It should be noted that walter does appear to be aggressive around other pets, especially cats, so please keep this in mind while finding room in your home and your heart for this lovable old guy. walter’s bloodwork shows that he has hypothyroidism. He is on 1 0.6 thyro tab daily.
