I have been training this beautiful, young, miniature shepherd for about 1.5 years. He’s the second service animal I have trained. Dog training is something my family always did for fun growing up. We trained dogs and competed in obedience and shows. I’ve trained approximately 9 dogs. Diego, my current service animal, is trained for helping mitigate PTSD symptoms. He is a fully registered service animal and is a great size for most people, not too small so he’s insecure and not too large where he can’t fit on your lap or at your feet on an airplane. He’s microchipped, has all his current shots and is about 2.5 years old. Because he is registered already, you could take him traveling anywhere and live anywhere without paying additional fees. He loves to love and be loved. He loves to snuggle and he loves the outdoors due to his history in Costa Rica where I adopted him. He is gentle to all, even babies and young children. He walks well on a leash, is fully house trained, knows how to sit/stay, down/stay, come when called, etc. He is super smart and can probably be trained to do just about anything.

As far as PTSD mitigating service actions, he is trained to: “hug” which will be putting his weight on you when you’re having a panic/anxiety attack or feeling stressed or out of sorts. If you’re feeling dissociated, he is trained with “trigger” to mouth either of your for arms with gentle pressure so as to pull you back to your body and ground yourself in the present.
I say he is 80% trained because he will require additional training when transferring to new owner. He is already Fully Registered as a US Service Animal. Ownership will be transferred to you.
He only requires 2 walks per day or a yard.
I’m requesting $1,000 as re-homing to insure the person has the right commitment & is financially secure. (These dogs usually go for more than $10-30k.
